World of Hyatt milestone rewards start at 20 nights and are offered every 10 nights stayed up until 150 nights. Most tiers offer a choice but certain key milestones offer all the rewards listed. The huge amount of choices thrown at you might be a bit overwhelming at first, but once you understand the relative value of each, it will make the choices much easier! This is just for those who want to maximize their benefits. Of course the best choice in the end is the one that makes you the happiest.
Pro tip. Whenever you're unsure of the relative value of points in relation to others, calculate the approximate value using cents per point. In this case, Hyatt points are typically worth around 1.5 to 2.0 cents per point, but we will use 1.5 to be conservative.
Before we move on, let's explain two things.
Suite Upgrade Award
Hyatt's definition: treat yourself or gift an upgrade to a standard suite, confirmed at the time of booking, for a stay of up to 7 nights.
This is the best suite upgrade ticket across all loyalty programs. It can be confirmed at the time of booking AND be used for up to 7 nights. You can even use it on reservations for other people. No other loyalty program has a perk like that. Use it and enjoy it now, this might not stay this good.
Guest of Honor Award
Hyatt's definition: gift someone a Globalist experience for up to 7 nights. Use it on award or eligible paid stays.
This is an overpowered award, just under the suite upgrade award. You gift someone space-available upgrades, club access, valet parking on points bookings, and free breakfast. So much value, and they are given away like candy when you move up the loyalty ladder. I have a feeling they will nerf this in the future, I've seen a lot of people abuse this perk.
Of note, the space-available upgrade is typically just under what a true Globalist would get and may not always be honored the same way a Globalist would.
20 Nights
Choice: 2 club access awards, 2,000-point next stay award, $25 FIND experience credit, or 2 preferred seat coupons on American Airlines.
My pick: 2,000-point next stay award.
Let's take the pro tip above and use it to calculate the relative value of 2,000 points. To calculate in simplest terms: take three zeros off the point value (2,000 becomes 2) and multiply it by 1.5. So in this case, 2,000 points is worth roughly $30.
I'll be honest though, this tier is a toss-up. If you know you are not going to hit Globalist status (like you are absolutely sure), and you know you will stay somewhere with a nice club lounge, then the club access is worth it, you will get much more than $30 in value. Likewise, if you know you are flying American Airlines, don't have status, and want a small upgrade, that could potentially be worth more as well. For all other people, the 2,000-point next stay award is the safest in my opinion, unless you know for sure you won't stay at a Hyatt again after reaching that tier (i.e. reaching the milestone in December).
Pro tip. The next stay award applies to the next stay (at least 1 night) after reaching AND choosing that award. If you have another stay after reaching the milestone but did not choose the award, you won't be able to retroactively apply it.
I don't know how many people use FIND experiences, but if you do then maybe that will be worth it to you too.
I would pick the award that you will use for sure.
30 Nights
Everyone receives: a category 1 to 4 free night award.
Choice: 2,000-point next stay award, 2 club access awards, $25 FIND experience credit, or 2 preferred seat coupons on American Airlines.
My pick: 2,000-point next stay award.
That free night award is incredible. So much value at such a low nights requirement. It just highlights how much I love the Hyatt program. I've used those awards on stays ranging from $200 to $300. That's value town right there.
Otherwise, the same logic applies as at the 20 night milestone, so see above.
40 Nights
Everyone receives: a Guest of Honor award.
Choice: suite upgrade award, 5,000 bonus points, $150 FIND experience credit, or 2 Main Cabin Extra seat coupons on American Airlines.
My pick: suite upgrade award.
This is your first important choice. On the milestone rewards, a suite upgrade award (SUA) is worth about 10,000 points. Let me repeat that: when it comes to milestone rewards. In reality, a perfectly used suite upgrade award can be worth well over 100,000 points, and almost always at least 10,000 points if used casually. But in the later milestones, you will almost always see a suite upgrade award paired with a 10,000-point choice, so seeing it here placed against 5,000 is an easy choice.
5,000 points is roughly $75 in value, so technically half of the FIND experience credit's value. If you use FIND experiences this might be better than the points, but I still value an SUA above $150. I regularly get hundreds to thousands of dollars in value from each SUA.
Compared to the American Airlines coupons, I think I would pick the SUA even if I was flying American.
50 Nights
Choice: 2 suite upgrade awards, 5,000 bonus points, $150 FIND experience credit, or 2 Main Cabin Extra seat coupons on American Airlines.
My pick: 2 suite upgrade awards.
This is like the 40 night pick but even easier. Pick the 2 suite upgrade awards and don't look back. Compared to the other choices this is a joke. This might be the easiest choice in the whole list.
60 Nights
You receive: 2 Guest of Honor awards, a category 1 to 7 free night award, 2 suite upgrade awards, My Hyatt Concierge, and Globalist status.

The awards are also incredible. Not much to say about them and no real choice, but no other loyalty program is this generous.
A word on My Hyatt Concierge though: I think it's worthless. My Hyatt Concierge regularly ghosts me, and I find most of my questions answered much quicker and more efficiently through the regular Globalist support line (who are excellent, by the way).
70, 80 and 90 Nights
Everyone receives: a Guest of Honor award.
Choice: suite upgrade award, 10,000 bonus points, $300 FIND experience credit, or AAdvantage Gold status.
My pick: 10,000 points.
Honestly, if you live near an American Airlines hub airport (and you know for sure you won't hit 100 nights with Hyatt), the AAdvantage Gold status may be your best bet. Free bags and being placed on the priority list is honestly great! I feel like low-level airline status is far superior to low-level hotel status, whereas high-level hotel status is superior to high-level airline status. At least these days, when the free airline upgrades appear to be drying up.
Otherwise, I default to the 10,000 points simply because at this point you probably have 5 suite upgrade awards, which for most people is too many to use. If you do have a specific use in mind for the suite upgrade award before it expires, then I still think that is higher value. There is just the risk of losing the suite upgrade award without using it.
100 Nights
Everyone receives: a category 1 to 7 free night award.
Choice: suite upgrade award, 10,000 bonus points, $300 FIND experience credit, or AAdvantage Platinum status.
My pick: 10,000 points.
The AAdvantage Platinum status is very high value if you live near an American hub and won't fly enough to get that status otherwise. Paired with a credit card you will get 3 free checked bags on domestic flights, priority seating in group 3, and priority upgrade potential. That is crazy value, but that might not even be the most important perk. You also get oneworld Sapphire, giving you access to international business class lounges on international flights with oneworld partners, and priority check-in. Some of those business class lounges can be pretty spectacular, and having access while traveling abroad just makes a trip so much more luxurious.
Otherwise, same logic as before: 10,000 is the default unless you know for sure you are using the SUA.
110 to 140 Nights
Everyone receives: a Guest of Honor award.
Choice: suite upgrade award, 10,000 bonus points, Miraval extra night award, or AAdvantage Platinum status.
My pick: 10,000 points.
If you didn't pick up the AAdvantage Platinum before (and you fly American), you can do that now. This tier is actually very dependent on the way you travel. In terms of potential value from highest to lowest, it would be:
- Miraval extra night award
- Suite upgrade award
- 10,000 points
So why would I choose the points? Because it's the easiest to use.
The Miraval extra night award requires you to stay at a Miraval property, for at least one eligible night. You gotta spend big to earn big. These nights can easily be over $1,000. I've never stayed at one yet, but they do seem to get good reviews online.
As stated before, if used correctly the suite upgrade award can be worth well over 100,000 points, but usually ends up being worth around 30,000 to 70,000.
150 Nights
Everyone receives: an Ultimate Free Night award.
Choice: suite upgrade award, 10,000 bonus points, Miraval extra night award, or AAdvantage Platinum status.
My pick: 10,000 points.
Same choices, but it has that juicy Ultimate Free Night award. Obviously it's incredible. It's the best free night certificate among all loyalty programs, rivalled only by the Hilton free night certificate that seems to be given out like candy.
Final Thoughts
So these are my choices and a guide to which ones to choose. The most important thing in the end, though: if a lesser-value choice makes you happier or suits your situation better, always pick it. These loyalty programs are just about fun in the end, and if you are picking just to min-max without joy, what's the point?
