Booked for four(ish) nights in cash through Hyatt Prive, paying for a pool villa at 180 OMR (about $467) a night with a fourth-night-free offer bringing the average to about $350, and the Prive one-category upgrade was confirmed at booking to a deluxe pool villa, room 111, one of only four and described as the hotel's most premium category at 175 square metres with a private pool and direct beach access. Prive also brought daily full breakfast for two at The Orchard, where the small-portion a la carte breakfast was called phenomenal, a $100 property credit, and a welcome amenity of charcuterie, fruit, sweets and fresh juice, plus nightly sweet treats and twice-daily housekeeping. The resort felt eerily empty at well under 10% occupancy and service was exceptional, and spa treatments ran 25% off before 3 p.m. (a 90-minute massage at 45 OMR, about $116, after the discount). The reviewer noted the hotel does not accept Globalist suite upgrade awards; his own current status is not stated, only that he was working toward lifetime Globalist, so status is recorded as unknown. Sea Salt's Southeast Asian food was phenomenal but it was the only lunch and dinner option, the property is about a 70-minute drive from Salalah airport, and after loving the first two days he felt bored by the last couple and was unsure he would return.
