A Globalist paid just over $300 a night for two nights on a World of Hyatt Members Save More sale, $657.87 in total against a usual rate around $415, and was upgraded at check-in to a 753 sq ft Junior Suite, room 505, with a street view. Globalist breakfast at The Lonely Broccoli was complimentary, a large buffet with specialty coffees and eggs cooked to order that otherwise costs $48 per person. A welcome card offered a free drink of his choice, which he took as a cappuccino, and chocolates hidden among decorative rocks were waiting on the dining table in the suite. He praised the two-floor spa and pool complex and the friendly service, noted the free minibar was sparse, and said he could not wait to return.

UpgradeSuite, offered without askingRoomRoom (cash, about $250/night via Hyatt Prive) → Andaz Large Suite (room 344)BreakfastBuffet onlyWelcome amenityGiven
A Globalist booked two rooms for one night through Hyatt Prive at about $250 per room, the same as the best available rate, with a $100 property credit per room, full breakfast and a welcome gift and letter included. On account of his Globalist status his own room was upgraded to an Andaz Large Suite, room 344, two categories above the standard suite and nominally 1,300 sq ft in a single open layout. Breakfast was a staff-served buffet with custom eggs and waffles available, reasonable but unmemorable. The stay was mixed because service was comically bad during the pandemic visit: check-in took over 20 minutes with one person working, guest services never answered the phone, breakfast service was a struggle, and the air conditioning was broken hotel-wide with maintenance taking an hour to arrive late at night, though he said he would give the hotel another try.
