UpgradeSuite, offered without askingRoomStandard room (Category 1-4 free night certificate plus 24,000 points, 3 nights) → Large SuiteBreakfastÀ la carte onlyWelcome amenityGiven
A Globalist spent three November nights at this Category 3 hotel using a Category 1-4 free night certificate plus 24,000 points, when cash rates were about $220 CAD after taxes for the weekend. The hotel had assigned him the Large Suite, described as the nicest room type aside from the presidential suite, with a spacious living and dining area seating six, corner views over ByWard Market toward Parliament Hill and the river, and a plate of macarons waiting on arrival. Globalist breakfast at Feast + Revel was included, with eggs benedict one morning and avocado toast with peameal bacon the next, from a menu priced at $12 to $22. He praised the comfortable suite, excellent food and pleasant staff, though a Saturday night drink at the Copper rooftop bar took over 20 minutes and was remedied with a free glass of sparkling wine.

UpgradeBetter view, offered without askingRoomRoom (type not specified in review) → Corner King room, King with a View Deluxe
A Globalist team stayed two nights about a month before the September 2021 review and was upgraded to a corner King with a View Deluxe room with sweeping views of ByWard Market and Parliament Hill. They noted the Hyatt app showed suites available during the stay, so they questioned whether the property was offering all Globalist benefits. The stay was mixed because the Copper Spirits and Sights rooftop lounge was still closed except for limited indoor service, the Feast + Revel restaurant was not operational, and no housekeeping was offered, which they felt looked more like cost-cutting than a safety measure. They praised the trendy location and spacious, Canadian-inspired room and said they would return to see the property fully open.
