A Globalist used an expiring Category 1-4 free night certificate for an extra night after a team meeting, when the cash price was about $240. He booked a standard king room and was proactively upgraded to an approximately 540 sq ft Andaz Suite overlooking Ellis Square. Globalist breakfast was served off the menu at 22 Square and included coffee, juice, an entree, a side and gratuity, with an excellent Low Country Benedict, a 4 p.m. checkout was given automatically, and local candy plus small bottles of Savannah Distillery vodka and tequila were the welcome amenity. Valet parking at $45 and the $33 destination fee were waived on the award stay, though the square-facing suite picked up significant noise from nearby bars and he said he would stay again.

UpgradeHigher room category, offered without askingRoomStandard room (cash, about $200/night via Hyatt Prive) → Loft room, sixth floorBreakfastÀ la carte onlyWelcome amenityGiven
A Globalist stayed two nights at about $200 per night booked through Hyatt Prive, stacking Prive perks including a $100 property credit with a Chase Offers deal for 15 percent back up to $38. At check-in the agent confirmed both his Globalist and Prive benefits and explained he had been upgraded to a sixth-floor loft rather than a suite because his profile notes he dislikes connecting rooms and the suites connect. A charcuterie plate arrived as the Prive welcome amenity, and Globalist breakfast at 22 Square was taken off the menu, with a tasty berry parfait but an avocado toast he found underwhelming. He called the hotel fine with a good location and friendly staff, but said it lacks character and he would try a different Savannah property on a return visit.
