UpgradeSuite, with a suite upgrade awardRoomRoom (type not specified in review) → Grand Suite King (130 sqm)BreakfastBuffet onlyLoungeGivenWelcome amenityGiven
A Globalist visiting over a busy weekend expected little chance of a complimentary suite upgrade at this Korean property, so he applied a Suite Upgrade Award in advance to confirm the 130 sqm Grand Suite King. Globalist breakfast was confined strictly to the Grand Club lounge, with no main-restaurant option without a hefty surcharge, and he found that lounge breakfast forgettable and limited, with a basic salad bar, a few hot dishes and a small egg station, recommending skipping it for local cafes. The Grand Club evening service was stronger, with individually plated hot appetisers and wines available all day after breakfast, and a box of four artisanal pralines with a personalised card was waiting as the Globalist welcome amenity. He praised the suite and hardware as stunning but called the soft product transactional and stingy, noted only four coffee capsules in a six-slot drawer, and found the air-conditioning stuck around 23 degrees despite being set to 18.

UpgradeSuite, offered without askingRoomRoom (type not specified in review) → Corner Suite (room 3418, 130 sqm)BreakfastBuffet onlyLoungeGivenWelcome amenityGiven
As Globalist recognition, the reviewer was upgraded to the 130 sqm Corner Suite a couple of days before arrival, room 3418, with dining and living areas, a bedroom and two bathrooms and panoramic unblocked views that allowed plane-spotting toward the airport runway. A welcome letter and chocolates were provided, and Globalist access to the huge Grand Club lounge ran from early morning to late evening, with afternoon tea and an evening cocktail spread he rated highly for its mix of Korean and Western dishes and quality drinks. He rated breakfast, the club lounge, service and elite recognition all near-perfect and called staying here as a Globalist a near-perfect experience, helped by travelling in the low season between December and March. Confidence is medium because the full article was behind a verification check and the extraction rests on the detailed indexed excerpts of the review.
