A Globalist travelled as a family of four for three nights, booking a standard two-bed room at 12,000 points per night with a Category 1-4 certificate covering the first night, against cash rates around $250. Arriving around 10 a.m., the family was thanked for Globalist status, offered a suite upgrade and waited in the Grand Club while it was cleaned, receiving the 731 sq ft corner Jequitiba Grand Suite on the 11th floor. Grand Club breakfast combined a buffet of pastries, fruit, eggs and pao de queijo with a la carte tapioca and eggs Benedict, evening happy hour was included, late checkout and free parking were listed among the perks received, lounge staff remembered the children's names, and the hotel marked his son's birthday with a chocolate cake and a handwritten note from the general manager. He called the service the best he had received in Brazil and said he would easily return.

UpgradeHigher room category, offered without askingRoomStandard room (Category 3, 12,000 points/night vs $400+ cash) → King Club room (room 1905, 19th floor)BreakfastBuffet onlyLoungeGivenWelcome amenityGiven
Travelling with family on a Category 3 booking priced at 12,000 points per night against cash rates over $400, the reviewer was upgraded at check-in to a King Club room on the 19th floor, room 1905, one floor below the Grand Club, on account of legacy Diamond status, which has no canonical slug so status is recorded as unknown. He was offered a welcome amenity or 1,000 points and chose the points. Breakfast in the 20th-floor Grand Club was on the continental side with a single hot dish, and the evening club spread was modest with complimentary alcohol and small snacks. The drive from the airport took about 2.5 hours in traffic, service was otherwise very good apart from a chain steakhouse recommendation from the club, and he said he would return in a heartbeat.
