UpgradeSuite, offered without askingRoomRoom (type not specified in review) → Suite on the club floor (suite 2701)BreakfastBuffet onlyLoungeGiven

Returning to a hotel he had stayed at five or six times, the reviewer was told at check-in that he had been upgraded to a suite on the club floor, suite 2701 directly across from the Regency Club, and noted that Diamond members almost always receive complimentary suite upgrades here because the suites sit on the top few floors; he had received one on every stay. The Regency Club stayed open even on Christmas night, with an evening spread from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a morning spread of bagels, pastries, fruit, cereals, salmon and cheese. He earned 10,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points on the stay and called the property one of his favourite Hyatt hotels in North America. Status is recorded as unknown because the review uses the legacy Diamond tier name, which has no canonical slug.

UpgradeSuite, offered without askingRoomStandard room (free night from Hyatt's Big Welcome Back promotion; cash rate around $180) → Bay View Emerald Suite (corner suite, 28th floor)BreakfastBuffet onlyLoungeGivenLate checkoutHonoured

On a one-night stay redeemed with a free night from Hyatt's Big Welcome Back promotion, when the cash rate was around $180, the reviewer presented his Gold Passport Diamond card at check-in and was proactively given a complimentary upgrade to a bay view Emerald Suite, a corner suite of a little over 800 sq ft on the 28th floor, with Grand Club access. He chose the 1,000-point Diamond amenity over the food and beverage option. The 27th-floor Grand Club served a continental breakfast spread and an evening selection with shrimp, cheese and paid alcohol, and although Hyatt's stated Diamond late checkout was 2 p.m., he pushed and was granted 2:30 p.m. He called it a fantastic stay and his new Seattle hotel. Status is recorded as unknown because the review uses the legacy Diamond tier name, which has no canonical slug.
