A Globalist spent five nights across three separate stays in late June and early July 2026, paying 8,000 points per night at the lowest tier for a Category 3 standard room that averaged $215 cash. He was upgraded to a junior suite on the first and third visits, but on the second visit stayed in a standard two-twin room when the check-in employee seemed unaware of his status and no upgrade was offered. The Globalist breakfast buffet at Zamat was a highlight, though staff tried to charge him for it once and a reserved breakfast table appeared on only two of five days. A welcome puzzle revealing a complimentary rooftop drink was given on the first visit, had to be asked for later, and then ran out and was replaced by chocolates; a larger gift basket was delivered by mistake and taken away, followed by cake and bread as apologies. Housekeeping was missed or late, hot water was slow in all three rooms, courtyard-facing rooms were noisy until 1 a.m., and Wi-Fi in rooms was poor, leaving him unsure whether he would return.
