    A Diamond member spent three nights in May 2016 on a babymoon, booking Points and Cash at 10,000 points plus $125 per night plus a $30 daily resort fee, and used a Diamond Suite Upgrade to confirm a roughly 900 sq ft suite in advance. At the 9 p.m. check-in the couple was further upgraded to a roughly 1,100 sq ft Two Bedroom Gulf Front Suite on the 10th floor, a room normally about $200 per night more than the one-bedroom suites. Diamond breakfast at Shor was included and generous, covering the buffet, menu items such as Crab Benedict, and specialty coffees at no charge. His main complaint was that beach chairs and umbrellas were outsourced at $30 a day despite the resort fee, but the location and breakfast service were excellent and he said he would not hesitate to return. Status is recorded as unknown because the review uses the legacy Diamond tier name, which has no canonical slug.

    For his mother's birthday staycation, the reviewer booked a couple of nights at just over $200 per night on the elite My Elite Rate and was given keys at check-in to a two-bedroom suite on the 15th floor, room 1543, noting he had good luck with suite upgrades as a Diamond member. The massive suite had a full kitchen, living room and a balcony with direct beach views. Breakfast at SHOR was complimentary for up to four people under his Diamond status, mixing a buffet with eggs cooked to order, and because he had mentioned the birthday in advance the hotel brought sweets and a voucher for wine and appetizers at the lobby bar. He called the rate great value especially with the upgrade and a good quick getaway from Tampa. Status is recorded as unknown because the review uses the legacy Diamond tier name, which has no canonical slug.
