A Globalist stayed 14 nights in August 2022 at MYR 256 nett, about $57, per night, booking the base room and applying two Suite Upgrade Awards to confirm the Regency Suite for the stay. Because that suite does not face the sea, he asked at check-in for a sea-view version and was granted the Regency Executive Suite, room 551 at 92 sqm, instead. Check-in was completed in the Regency Club Lounge, which Globalists could use all day with evening food and drinks from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and Globalist breakfast was a complimentary buffet at Tanjung Ria Kitchen, though fresh juice cost an extra MYR 19. Globalists also received two vouchers per stay for a rainbow latte or homemade gelato. He rated elite recognition and the room view 10 out of 10 and enjoyed the generous upgrade and sunsets, while noting the 1970s property, last renovated in 2011, had dated furnishings despite being well maintained.

UpgradeSuite, offered without askingRoomStandard room (points, 5,000/night) → Regency SuiteBreakfastBuffet onlyLoungeGiven

A Globalist booked this Category 1 hotel for five nights in March 2019 at 5,000 points per night, a cash value of just over $60 per night, and was taken to the lounge to check in because of his status. He was told there that he had been upgraded to the 89 sqm Regency Suite, and despite arriving at about 9:30 a.m. the room was ready within 30 minutes. Globalist breakfast was complimentary with a choice of the club or the restaurant, and he chose the restaurant buffet, praising the spread and the pho in particular. Service throughout was described as stellar, with lounge and restaurant staff greeting him by name and refilling drinks promptly, and he highly recommended the hotel.
