UpgradeSuite, with a suite upgrade awardRoomStandard room (points, 54,000 total for 4 nights) → Suite overlooking the hotel's piazza, on a low floorBreakfastBuffet onlyLoungeGivenWelcome amenityGiven
A Globalist couple spent four nights in August 2026 on 54,000 points transferred from Chase, applying a Suite Upgrade Award to move from a standard room into a suite overlooking the piazza, against a cash cost of about $2,000 for the suite and a redemption value around 3.7 cents per point. The suite sat on one of the lowest guest floors and a request for a higher-floor suite was turned down because suites of that type sit on that level. Globalist breakfast at Seed was a highlight, mixing a buffet with continuously replenished freshly cooked eggs and a self-serve mimosa station, and sparkling wine with local treats was waiting in the room as a welcome amenity, with parking validated free. The big letdown was the basement Regency Club, which had basically no food or refreshments despite promises at check-in, and the St. Julian's nightlife location is lively rather than quiet; they would still stay again.

UpgradeJunior suite, after askingRoomStandard room (cash, 255 EUR/night) → Junior Suite (room 716, terrace with partial ocean view)BreakfastBuffet onlyLoungeGiven
A Globalist travelling with his family booked at the last minute at 255 euros per night, getting rooms only through the Globalist guaranteed-availability benefit. At check-in he had first been moved to a high-floor ocean-view room, then asked about a suite and was shown both the Regency Suite and a Junior Suite, each 38 square metres, and chose the Junior Suite, room 716, for its terrace and partial ocean view. Globalist breakfast at Seed was included for every registered guest, combining the buffet with an a la carte menu, and the basement Regency Club, which he never saw staffed over three days, laid out hors d'oeuvres with complimentary beer, wine and cocktails from 5 to 7 p.m. A wind-tunnel effect made the room howl through the first windy night, but service was friendly throughout and he said he would certainly return.
