UpgradeSuite, with a suite upgrade awardRoomStandard room → Sea-view suite, 4th floor (regular room plus adjoining second room, one bathroom)BreakfastBuffet onlyWelcome amenityGiven
Travelling with his family for four nights in high season at this Category 7 hotel, where base rooms ran around $700, the reviewer booked a standard room with a confirmed suite upgrade and received exactly that: a fourth-floor sea-view arrangement of a regular room plus an adjoining second room with only one bathroom, noting some other guests had confirmed better further upgrades. The hotel reached out before arrival about welcome amenity preferences and provided items aimed at his children, including a small plush toy for his one-year-old. Globalist breakfast was the bountiful buffet with a made-to-order egg station, bacon, sausage, cheeses, waffles, pancakes, fruit and juices, also available by room service, but restaurant breakfast service was poor, with coffees not arriving or arriving wrong and staff hard to flag down, and the buffet never varied over four mornings. Outside breakfast he found staff friendly and excellent, the bed good and the blackout shades excellent, though the decor felt dated for a Hyatt Regency, and he rated the beachfront location, large room and ambiance highly overall.

UpgradeSuite, with a suite upgrade awardRoomStandard room, 1 king bed (points, 35,000/night, Category 7 peak) → Prestige Sea View Suite (premium suite, ~1,100 sq ft)BreakfastBuffet onlyLate checkoutHonouredWelcome amenityGiven
A Globalist stayed at the tail end of peak season in early September on points at 35,000 per night for a Category 7 standard king room, when cash was about 675 euros for a standard room and over 850 euros for sea view. He was first proactively upgraded to a spacious ocean-view deluxe king room of about 454 sq ft with a sunset balcony, then for the second half of the stay he applied a suite upgrade award and received a double upgrade to the premium 1,100 sq ft Prestige Sea View Suite with a dining room for six, a walk-in closet and a huge terrace. Globalist breakfast was the extensive terrace buffet with made-to-order coffees and egg stations including eggs benedict, a 4 p.m. checkout was given automatically, and a bottle of local wine with regional crackers arrived as a welcome amenity and was repeated when he changed rooms. Service was excellent apart from slow restaurant coffee, and he called it possibly his favorite Hyatt Regency and said he would absolutely return.
