A Globalist family of four booked five nights at 38,500 points per night before a rate increase, paying an extra $150 per night for their 7-year-old while their 2-year-old stayed free, and used a suite upgrade award to secure a suite with a huge balcony, an outdoor Jacuzzi and a living room with a couch bed for the kids and ocean views. Globalist status also brought access to the club-level building with all-day snacks and premium liquor and a butler, Andre, who messaged the daily schedule, gave recommendations and arranged surprises such as balloons for the children. The stay overlapped Mexican Independence Day, which the resort celebrated heavily, and the family said the resort was worth every point despite nearly cancelling over a hurricane that hit Louisiana the day before departure.

A Globalist paid cash at about $476 a night for a resort-view king room, saving his points, and was given a complimentary upgrade to a Club oceanfront king room on the fifth floor of the Club Tower, with private check-in there, a cold towel and sparkling wine on arrival. The 463 sq ft room was smaller than at other Ziva and Zilara resorts but had Salvatore Ferragamo toiletries, a daily-restocked minibar and snack drawer included in the rate, and a small balcony with an exceptional ocean view. Club Tower access brought a bar with more premium alcohol and a food spread that changed through the day. He rated the service, food and drinks highly and put this resort near the top of his all-inclusive list.
