A Globalist booked a Classic Guest Room at a $283 member rate for four nights in mid-August 2021 with another family, paying $1,449.49 total and earning almost 24,000 points on his room. Both rooms were upgraded before arrival to Ridgeline Studios, but at a nearly 40-minute understaffed check-in one upgrade was given back to keep the rooms close, and he eventually received the Classic Guest Room he had booked, room 1435, so no upgrade was kept. Globalist breakfast was complimentary as a buffet in the restaurant or one room-service meal, averaging over $30 per person and saving each room over $100 a day, and a pre-arrival call arranged cookies and milk for a child's birthday. The $40 resort fee was waived for Globalist status but $30 nightly valet parking was still charged, saving only $10 a night, and a requested 4 p.m. checkout was granted only to 1 p.m. for one room. He enjoyed the family getaway overall despite pervasive staffing shortages, housekeeping lapses and long pool-bar waits.
