Globalist
RoomRoom (type not specified in review; flexible rate booked direct with Hyatt) → Room as booked (no upgrade outcome reported)
A Globalist booked direct at a flexible rate on short notice for a last-minute downtown Austin business trip and said the front desk took the time at check-in to recognize his Globalist status, though he noted an upgrade at this property would only mean a slightly better view or marginally different layout and reported no upgrade outcome himself. The location on Congress Avenue, a seven-minute walk from the Texas State Capitol, was the standout, and the bed was comfortable with solid soundproofing. Against that, the room was extremely tight, with about one person's width beside the bed and a window table he kept bruising his shins on, and the motion-sensor lights repeatedly shut off while he was in the glass-enclosed shower, leaving him waving an arm out to retrigger them. Breakfast in the lobby coffee shop runs until 1 p.m., staffing was lean with one valet and one front desk agent for 246 rooms, and construction and scaffolding made his nighttime arrival confusing. He said he would return for a short solo business trip where location is everything, but would look elsewhere for a longer or partner trip.
