Three nights in cherry blossom season on a Guest of Honor booking at 45,000 points per night, with Globalist benefits applying even though the reviewer's own status is not stated. The booked standard room was moved up to a 55 sqm Deluxe Room, with no Park Suite available as the hotel was almost full. Breakfast at Girandole was complimentary, worth 7,150 yen, combining a buffet of small plates and in-house pastries with a choice of a Western main or a pre-ordered Japanese set. Check-in was mechanical with no welcome drink, arrival coincided with the hotel's 1 April reclassification as a resort exempting it from the guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, and service ranged from excellent concierge help to cold, while the pool felt underwhelming and the Shinjuku location requires a 10 to 15 minute walk or shuttle.

A top-tier elite stay in May 2018 at 30,000 points per night, with a confirmed suite upgrade applied to secure a west-facing Park Suite with Mount Fuji views on one clear morning. Breakfast for top elites could be taken in the restaurant or as 24-hour room service, and he used both, favouring the Japanese set plus the buffet, while complimentary evening cocktails and appetizers were served for top elites on the 41st floor and welcome candies with an elite-benefits note were in the room. He praised the property and said saying goodbye is always bittersweet, despite a leaking shower, a concierge restaurant booking that was never followed up, dated hallway carpeting, and New York Grill entrees starting around $40 with many over $80. Globalist status is strongly evidenced by the top-elite benefits and confirmed suite upgrade described, rather than named outright.
